Dear Friend,

It is an under statement to say that we are very shook-up by the horrible purposeful attacks on September 11, 2001.

What can we do to lessen the chance of this ever happening again?

What power do we have as educators to lead kids down a more productive path?

How can we help those kids directly affected by the tragedy?

The headquarters of the Global Schoolhouse is located San Diego area, a few miles from Camp Pendleton. During the Gulf War, thousands of Marine Corps parents of our school students left their homes with less than 24 hours notice. The children who were left behind were very distraught. But, one thing that helped them cope was to have a global outpouring of support through the emails they received from other kids around the world.

Global SchoolNet wants to help in any way we can. So, we have set up a space on the web to allow kids around the world to send their messages of hope, support, and condolences to those affected by the September 11th tragedy.

Scanned drawings and digital photos that convey hope and support will also be accepted.

These messages will be compiled and shared with the schools directly impacted by this disastrous act of terrorism.
